Editor’s Note – July 2024

Hope the summer is going well, schools are closed, it is time for movies, popcorn and ice creams.  While  work will continue to be demanding as usual but we can still take advantage of the long days and delayed sunsets.

It is the small joys that convert into beautiful memories and become a sum total of a life well lived.

Summer is also a time of graduations and young Interns attaining their first jobs and joining the workforce – eager to apply the hard earned skills. I am often heard emphasizing the importance of inculcating strong work ethics, saying that their  manager’s job is not to monitor but to mentor them. Any Intern who has met me would have received the advice to work hard, be on time, complete tasks and to put in that bit of extra effort, not because anybody is supervising, but because that is the kind of professional you want to be. On the same note I also remind them to find a balance, not to forgo their long cultivated friendships and hobbies – and that, burn-outs are a reality, they don’t serve in any way, you just can’t rush success.

We have had the privilege to welcome several young professionals at Groupsoft/Compliance Cart this year as well. It has been a joy to interact and work with them, I always feel that I get to learn so much from them. They always bring with them an amazing energy and contribute new ideas. Such interactions have an energizing effect on the entire team. At Groupsoft we try hard and I hope we are able to provide a positive, holistic and encouraging experience to lay a foundation for a fruitful and fulfilling career.
