Editor’s Note – May

This month’s theme is the International Family Day, and of course there is so much to say and share! Our families inspire us, give us roots, a safe zone and  also generous dollops of both the sought after and the not sought after advice and critical feedback :).   A family can be loving and encouraging as well as demanding and taxing. It is our experiences within our family that prepares us to deal with the outside world, it teaches us to hold our ground and more importantly, also to respectfully listen and concede.

As we grow and evolve we extend our families beyond our parents, siblings and children – to our peers and colleagues, to our neighbors and even volunteer/hobby groups. Groupsoft by virtue of its core values, endorses a culture where we treat every member as we would someone from our family, we support each other in difficult times, chide when someone’s cutting slack, push for best results, celebrate together, and share what we have amongst each other – and, just as we do with our siblings, we cultivate a healthy competition and stand by each other. 
By being a part of Groupsoft, you are a part of a family beyond that at home. By recognizing the importance of family, we recognize the importance of our peers, and inversely, by cultivating a compassionate and inclusive culture with our colleagues we recognize the importance of family. As such, each of us has a responsibility to nourish and nurture our community, and family.
