CEO’s Note – September Edition
Dear Team,
As you may have heard, the U.S. government announced significant changes to the H-1B visa program, including a substantial increase in application fees and a shift toward wage-based prioritization. While these changes primarily affect who work in the US or are part of our global mobility programs, they also have broader implications for how we operate as a company.
At Groupsoft, we recognize that this policy shift presents challenges. We are actively evaluating the implications and adjusting our strategies to ensure continuity, resilience, and growth across all departments and regions.
I am reminded of a famous quote from Albert Einstein -“In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.” Rather than viewing this as a constraint, let’s view it as a catalyst for growth. From a company perspective, it challenges us to be more agile, to double down on upskilling, and to strengthen our presence in every market we operate in.
From a country (India) perspective, it will reverse brain drain and could bring skilled professionals back. This makes it a fantastic opportunity for us to boost our offshore delivery team and domestic scaling. This also provides us with an opportunity to build even stronger global partnerships and delivery models.
I am sure you will agree with me when I say, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” Let us come together and invest in automation & AI to reduce overall costs. Let’s review our workforce strategy to ensure inclusivity and sustainability. Enhance our global capability centers and remote work infrastructure.
I am sure from a country/government perspective, India must be lobbying for exemptions/waivers and advocating for fair and inclusive policies. In the event any positive result will only go to help us further.
Thank you all for your continued dedication and adaptability. Change affects us all in different ways, but it also brings clarity, creativity, and new possibilities. Let’s embrace this moment as a chance to evolve and lead together.
If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your managers or HR.
