CEO’s Note – Reflecting on Our NRF 2025 Experience

The National Retail Federation’s (NRF) annual Big Show, held from January 12 to 14 at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Center, was nothing short of inspiring. This event has always been a beacon for innovation, connection, and discovery in the retail world, and NRF 2025 was no exception. With attendees from across the globe, it was an incredible gathering of visionaries, problem-solvers, and thought leaders, all focused on shaping the future of retail.

One of the standout themes this year was the rapid pace of technological evolution. From AI-driven solutions transforming customer experiences to process mining, data security, and robotic innovations, the ideas presented at NRF showed just how dynamic and forward-thinking our industry has become. The integration of banks with point-of-sale (POS) systems also emerged as a key trend, signaling exciting new possibilities for seamless retail transactions.

The expo floor was buzzing with energy. It was thrilling to see groundbreaking advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and sustainability being demonstrated in real time. These aren’t just buzzwords anymore – they’re real, actionable solutions that are reshaping the way retailers connect with their customers and streamline their operations.

For Groupsoft, NRF 2025 was a milestone moment. We were honored to be part of the SAP Village, thanks to our close collaboration with SAP. The experience was truly rewarding, as we connected with over 125 visitors and 80 prospective enterprise clients from 21 different countries spanning Europe, Asia, and the Americas. This global interaction highlighted the unique opportunity NRF provides for creating meaningful connections and fostering partnerships.

What stood out most to me was the depth of learning and collaboration our team experienced. Through workshops, breakout sessions, and countless conversations with peers, we gained practical insights and ideas that will help us drive real value for our clients and partners. These moments of exchange remind us why events like NRF are so pivotal – they’re not just about showcasing innovations but about sharing knowledge and building a stronger community within the industry.

As the retail landscape continues to evolve, it’s clear that the future will be shaped by those who embrace change and innovate fearlessly.
