Ram Mandir – A historical project driven by devotion, becomes a symbol of beauty and inspiration
The site where the Ram Mandir used to stand has long been the reason for religious conflict in India. The Mandir was one of the holiest places for Hinduism, at par with the Vatican for Christians or Mecca for Muslims. Later, with the establishment of Arabic empires in India, the temple was destroyed and a mosque was built in its place. The result of this was years of religious violence between the two, over the land.
To resolve this, a legal case was contested in court for almost a decade and extensive research was done as to whether the place was actually the original holy place that Hindus claimed it to be. This included researchers that not only consisted of Hindu scholars but Muslim scholars as well, who all concluded that the place was indeed the birth place of Lord Ram, a revered God in Hindu religion. Consequently, the Supreme Court of India ruled in favor of resurrecting the Temple of Sri Ram.
We have all read stories about how no Egyptian survived the Abrahamic onslaught to reclaim and rebuild the Temple of Horus; no Greek survived to reclaim and rebuild a Temple of Apollo; no Roman survived to reclaim and rebuild a Temple of Jupiter; no Celt survived to reclaim and rebuild a Temple of Grian. The list goes on, detailing the lost civilizations and cultures of Maya, Aztecs, Aboriginals of Australia, and more — but here, hope is renewed for all cultures.
The Hindus have done it, they have reclaimed and rebuilt the temple of Ram through all of the forces working against them! This is the beginning of a new age, not only for India but for all Pagan cultures across the world. This day may be like any other, but it marks a new dawn — 7 empires have come and gone, but Hindus have stood firm. If history is medicine, it has been a very bitter medicine for the Hindus: 500 years and 20 generations before us were not able to see the Ram Temple, but the 21st generation will!
This goes to show that you can demolish anything but the truth, you can erase anything but not memory, you can crush anything but not spirit, you can prevent anything but not justice, you can subjugate 20 generations but not the 21st!
The Supreme Court of India could not have delivered a more democratic judgment to resolve this Millennia long religious issue. Even though it was ruled that the place that originally had a mosque be given to build this temple at the same time another land was also given to Muslims so that they too could build a new mosque which is going to be the largest one in India – not far from the original place. The infrastructure that was used to build this temple will now also help to build the new mosque

The importance of respecting the rights and sentiments of all communities cannot be overstated. The construction of the Ram Mandir should be seen as an opportunity for dialogue, understanding, and reconciliation and efforts made to foster unity and inclusivity.
