Battles of the Pitch: Navigating the Heartbreaks and Victories of the Cricket World Cup

It would be impossible for me to write this month without the mention of the Cricket World Cup. It was an exhilarating time, every game came with a deep engagement, strong performances and definitive outcomes. The Indian team did its best, in fact it was the best, until it lost and  the cup was carried by the opponent.  It has opened the rhetorical topic – does a failed effort make the person/s behind it a failure?  

Any which ways the involvement was widespread, crossing boundaries of geography, culture, color, religion. The game, the championship, brought people together, it helped us move beyond our individual and societal inhibitions and rejoice in the purity of the moment. 

We may not have won the Cup but we did garner a lot of memorable moments with our families and friends. At the end of the day it is these moments that come together beautifully to create what we call a life. Whatever time we spend here at Groupsoft let’s make them count, let’s give our best and form lasting impressions and relationships.
