HR Events & Initiatives

Mental and physical wellbeing are equally important components of our overall health and it is important to balance them both. This year for World Health Day, we were delighted to have so many active participants in our “Ready, STEP, Go!” Competition as well as our Mental Health Awareness Session with Shalini Bajaj.

Ready, STEP, Go Competition:

What started as a 2 week step challenge has evolved into a wonderfully healthy habit. We are so proud of the team members who took on this challenge and absolutely crushed it! We thought 6,000 steps was a challenge and you proved us wrong! Job well done to those with the most steps, those with the most consistent efforts and those who tried their best. With a total of 22 participants, we were able to reach a combined total of over 1.9 million steps! (1,993,520 steps to be exact)!

But don’t take your walking shoes off just yet… We are looking forward to running this competition again in the fall and we hope to see even more participants this time around!

Mental Health Awareness & Continued Sessions with Shalini Bajaj:

This year for World Health Day, we were delighted to be able to have Psychologist, Shalini Bajaj, conduct a Mental Health Awareness session for our team. We all learned so much about one another and took away some very important lessons.

We received an overwhelmingly positive response after the meeting that we have decided to partner with Shalini for ongoing Mental Health workshops, small group sessions and 1-on-1 appointments.

More About Shalini Bajaj, Psychologist and Story Teller-

A psychologist by profession, Shalini has a multifaceted personality. She is passionate about bringing a positive change in people’s lives through her counseling sessions and Meditation and Breath workshops. Being trained in storytelling, she uses therapeutic stories extensively in her sessions as she believes that stories heal and empower. She enjoys reading, cooking, and gardening. She is a mother of two young boys and a spiritually inclined person.

Keep an eye out for more information on future sessions with Shalini!

On-Site Picnic

Groupsoft this year combined important topics Earth day and the environment into one holistic event. A 5k walk for our mother earth followed by a family picnic is one such initiative to encourage physical fitness, healthy and balanced diet and engage our employees beyond work.

The 5k walk through the nature promoted mental well-being, and The picnic featured sustainable items, including:

  • Compostable and plant-based plates, napkins, cutlery, trash bags, and gift bags with reusable totes and water bottles.
  • Plant-based protein bars.
  • Wildflower seeds to support local bees.

The children in attendance painted nature-themed wind chimes and engaged in imaginary play utilizing natural resources like branches, flowers, and little stones.

Thanks to the Groupsoft team in New Jersey and their families for doing such an impactful event.

Go Green Pledge:

We appreciate all the team members who took our Go Green Pledge last month in honor of Earth Day. While we all continue to take steps toward physical and mental wellbeing, we must also remember the importance of environmental sustainability and how our individual actions and efforts affect our planet. And for anyone who has not taken the pledge yet, please join us in our fight for a sustainable future for all:
